Role: Cloud Engineer Location: Downtown Cincinnati, OH (must be able to relocate) Interview Mode: 2 interviews (phone/skype and F2F if local) GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for development, implementation and ongoing support of the Enterprise Hybrid Cloud for large financial institution. Function as an engineer/developer for development and release of new and existing products, establish support process automation road-map and assist project teams and clients with technical issues pertaining to systems support and cloud automation. Coordinates projects and implements new technologies and systems of a moderate level of complexity. Follows corporate standards to implement private and public cloud solutions. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and maintain automation and orchestration software and scripting to integrate with all underlying public and private cloud technologies. • Design, implement and maintain Continuous Integration and Delivery environments. • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, design automated tests, troubleshoot issues, and implement scalable automation solutions • Serves as a subject matter expert for automation and orchestration of new product development and existing product management • Manage the Infrastructure as Code platform and associated management tools. • Implement fully automated server build, management, monitoring and deployment solutions spanning multiple platforms, tools and technologies. • Maintain effective partnerships with the Build, Operations and Engineering teams to drive service improvement • Remain current on IT trends pertaining to their area of practice (e.g., Agile, DevOps, Cloud, Microservices, containers, Open Source community projects/developments) • Assist with problem resolution for cloud management issues. • Create and update operations procedures for daily routine management processes. • Play a key role as an individual contributor on projects of a moderate to high level of complexity. • Manage Remedy queue of incidents, changes and service requests. • Maintain appropriate controls and documentation to ensure compliance of audit requirements. • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable experience • Proficiency with enabling Automation, Orchestration, and Configuration Management tasks leveraging tools such as Ansible and Terraform • Proficiency with deploying and configuring different Public Cloud services such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure through Automation • Proficiency with managing and operating Platform as a Service and container technologies such as OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes • Experience with infrastructure as a code practices leveraging tools such as GitHub and Jenkins for automated infrastructure code test, integration, deployment, and assurance • Experience with Scripting Languages such as YAML, JSON, and Python for administration, automation, and monitoring • Experience with multiple data center infrastructure technologies such as server virtualization, storage, network, security, middleware, and database. • Understanding of Software Development Methodologies • Understanding of security best practices • Strong problem solving skills • Strong collaboration skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
